Summit Overland
Take a chance on adventure.
There is no time like the present to make your life what you want it to be. Would you rather spend the rest of your life thinking of how life could have been different if you had taken that opportunity or would you rather look back at pictures thinking of the great experience you had with the ones you loved.
We are helping bridge the gap to get families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder into the outdoors safely. Our son Devin was formally diagnosed in 2017, we have always found being in nature very therapeutic for him. Our journey to help other families with children diagnosed with Autism is to give back to the community and empower through sharing our knowledge and tag along trips.
Summit Overland is the documentary series following our family of four on a journey that we have left in the hands of fate.
How is it in the hands of fate, aren’t you just going on a road trip?
This is so much more than a road trip.
We are leaving the itinerary to something that will not only keep us on our toes, but keep you guessing. We aren’t planning ahead, there is not detailed list of where we will be on this date. Where we will end up next is anyone’s guess.
Summit Overland Team
Dave - Driver & Lead Mechanic.
A British Expat with years of rallying and overlanding under his belt. With a passion for the great outdoors, Dave has been a member of Search and Rescue on both sides of the pond and is well rounded in survival skills.
Sara - Navigator.
Born and raised in British Columbia, only caught the travel bug at the age of 26. Map reading is an essential part of going on an off road adventure, and she always has the map in hand. Sara also captures the moment with the lens and gives the perspective of less experienced overlanders.
Devin - Apprentice Mechanic.
Devin is always eager to give a hand, even if it is more hindrance than help. We are still missing a 17mm socket from our set thanks to him. He is also in charge of finding water sources, if there is any body of water Devin will find it.
Bethan - Commentator.
Never short of an opinion, Bethan always has an opinion to contribute to what is happening in the world around her. A free spirited toddler with a mess of blonde hair is always the charmer.
Rhys - Back-seat Driver.
Our youngest member of the crew is definitely in charge of deciding when we take breaks and when we press on, especially on longer trips. Travelling with kids is challenging with all ages, travelling with a baby is just a different type of challenging.
